Jardin red is an estate bottled blend of 42% Cabernet Franc, 33% Chambourcin, 25% Blaufrankisch. This compostition nicely represents the newly discovered European grape varieties and hybrids now thriving in our local soils and climate. Cabernet Franc provides lovely aromatics. Chambourcin shows rich red fruit and spice tones. Blaufrankisch brings deep color and body. The sandy gravel soils of the Outer Coastal Plain play a key role in the wine’s silken texture and balanced acidity. There is a touch of American oak for elegance and polish.
